One of the latest and most exciting trends in Colombian music fuses the traditional rhythms and melodies with electronic beats and modern influences. Host Jacob Edgar begins his Tennessee journey in Bristol, the city in the northeast corner of the state that proudly calls itself the birthplace of country music. He visits 96-year-old Georgia Warren, the last surviving participant of the legendary "Bristol Sessions" of 1927, which introduced the sounds of Appalachia to a wide audience. While in Bristol, he catches a street performance by musical nomads Megan Jean & the KFB and checks out Knoxville-based The Black Lillies performing at one of Bristol's many outdoor concerts.

Edgar's Indian journey concludes in India's capital city of Delhi, where he explores the vibrant underground music scene. He connects with Rabbi Shergill, the Sikh music star who blends the revolutionary spirit of John Lennon with Indian pop. Edgar visits the rehearsal space of Indian Ocean, India's counterpart to the Grateful Dead, who have performed their compelling fusion of ancient Indian roots music with modern grooves for nearly 20 years. Edgar also meets up with the East India Company, an up-and-coming collective that modernizes folk music with electronics and funky beats.

The longest islands of The Bahamas, steeped in history culture and beauty, from the famous visual Glass Window Bridge between the Caribbean and the Atlantic Ocean to historic Spanish Wells and quaint Harbor Island. In this episode, travel the length of the island with Mirissa Neff and learn that while it seems like different worlds between Eleuthera, Harbor Islands and Spanish Wells, it's the people that collectively have one voice and are connected in the island's culture.
