This animated series is based on Marc Brown's best-selling books about Arthur Read, an eight-year-old aardvark, his sister D.W., and their family and friends. D.W. and Arthur think back to before their sister Kate arrived. Arthur remembers his trepidation about getting a new sister in "Arthur's Baby." D.W. remembers how Kate changed her life after she arrived in "D.W.'s Baby."

When Arthur and Muffy both have their birthday parties on the same day, it quickly becomes the boys vs. the girls at school, in "Arthur's Birthday." When Francine gets the lead in the class play, the part goes to her head in "Francine Frensky, Superstar."

Arthur's class is chosen to stage a musical tribute for its city's centennial celebration. But soon the rehearsals become a drama of missed cues, inflated egos, and alien invasions. And that's behind the curtain! In front, seated in the audience, viewers will glimpse returning animated guest stars-including Art Garfunkel, Fred Rogers, and Michelle Kwan-all invited by Muffy to the show. And if that weren't enough, CNN's Larry King gets into the action by becoming the first live action guest star to appear with the animated ARTHUR cast, as he interviews them during the show's intermission.

When painfully shy George brings a ventriloquist's dummy to school, a popular kid is born! Suddenly, everybody wants to hang with George and his witty wooden pal, Wally. George and Wally remain inseparable. The gang eventually gets pretty tired of talking to a dummy. George must learn to make it on his own? In the second story, Arthur thinks the best pet to have is a dog, and Francine probably would have agreed--that is, until little Nemo came along. Francine can't help herself--she's falling for a cute little kitten! What will Arthur think?

In "Arthur's Eyes," Arthur has vision problems, and discovers that he needs glasses. He finds that some of the kids at school treat him differently because he is different. In "Francine's Bad Hair Day," Francine gets ready for school pictures by changing her hair, and the way she acts, only to discover that while her looks are different, she's no longer happy.
