Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • ½ small red onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 ¼ tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/3 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 cup salad oil


Combine all ingredients, except the oil, in a narrow plastic container. Blend with a stick blender until homogeneous, or about 30 seconds. While blending, slowly add salad oil until emulsified. Add seasonings and serve.
