SEGMENT 1 – Berkshire Health Systems Deals with COVID-19

Berkshire County was the first place in Massachusetts earlier this month to have what has become known as community spread of the new coronavirus. And most of those people sought treatment at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield before testing positive for COVID-19. Dr. James Lederer is the Chief Medical Officer at Berkshire Health Systems, the parent company of BMC, and the largest healthcare provider in Berkshire County. Carrie Saldo spoke with him to find out where we are in the fight against the virus.   

SEGMENT 2 – Meals on Wheels During the Coronavirus Outbreak

As and more and more business shut down amid the Coronavirus outbreak, there are certain local services that find ways to continue out of necessity. One of those is the Meals on Wheels Program run through Highland Valley Elder Services in Northampton. Producer Dave Fraser visited there earlier this week and shares this story.
