"Our town asks groups to beautify traffic islands during
the summer. When my Girl Scout troop learned that troops all
over the country were planting memorial trees to honor Victor
Saracini and other members of the Girl Scout family who lost
their lives on September 11, we wanted to help, too."
"We designed a flag and a heart made of tulips and hyacinths,
with the grand total of 161 bulbs. With the help of our Brownie
friends, we put the bulbs to bed on Veteran's Day, exactly 2
months after 9/11. One American flag and one heart will bloom."
