Taking up two grand ballrooms at the Springfield Marriott in the center of Western New England will be more than 300 wines, craft brews, and ciders along with specialty foods from area chefs and food artisans. Download the Tasting Program (PDF) »

This year’s WGBY fundraising event will again put food on the tasting menu, as celebrity foodie and Pioneer Valley native Joanne Weir will be on hand to dish up some memorable morsels.

Weir is host of the WGBY Create programs, “Cooking Class with Joanne Weir,” “Weir Cooking in the City,” and “Joanne Weir Gets Fresh.” She is a James Beard Award-winning cookbook author, international cooking teacher, and renowned chef.

Following the popular Friday night tasting, WGBY is hosting two culinary events for food lovers and connoisseurs on Saturday, March 5, beginning with a special luncheon at Mama Iguana’s in Northampton.

Chef Weir, who owns Copita Tequileria y Comida in Sausalito, Calif., will demonstrate her cooking techniques and areas of expertise. Tequila and wine at the event will be arranged by Table & Vine.

Tickets to the luncheon are limited and are one sale now for $50 (plus $28 for her new book, which she will be available to sign).

WGBY Wine Lovers' Weekend Cruise Auction

Discover the wine-growing areas of the Côte d'Or. Take in the breathless scenery of Burgundy. It's a tough way to help fund public broadcasting, but someone has to do it. 

Online auction bidding is open for a special seven-night Food and Wine Cruise for two along the French Rhône and Saône rivers. This unique wine and food excursion is part of WGBY's 31st Annual Wine Lovers Weekend. It is sponsored by David Morris International, Arosa Cruises, and 1Cruise.com Inc.
