WGBY Wine Lovers' Weekend

2017 WGBY Wine Lovers Weekend

Supporting public media never tasted so good.

Friday/Saturday, March 10–11
Springfield Marriott
2 Boland Way, Springfield

The 32nd annual WGBY Wine Lovers Weekend marks the return of a tasty tradition. For more than three decades, public television and PBS member station WGBY has raised funds for educational programming in the region by selling tickets to two nights of decadent sampling.

Come to the Springfield Marriott on Friday, March 10 for western New England's largest wine, beer, and food tasting. It features more than 300 wine, craft beer, and specialty food vendors, taking up three large functional halls atop the Springfield Marriott.  Get Tasting Details & Tickets »

The large Friday night tasting event is followed on Saturday, March 11 by the WGBY Wine Lovers Dinner, a unique seven-course fine dining event.  See Dinner Menu & Make Reservations »

Special Guest: PBS Chef Andreas Viestad

Chef Andreas Viestad, host of PBS' New Scandinavian Cooking

Though the WGBY Wine Lovers Weekend is known best for its size, it is also unique in its offerings of craft beer, cider, and food. This year, the latter — food — will be especially unique, as PBS chef Andreas Viestad will play a prominent role each night.

Viewers of WGBY and WGBY Create will recognize Viestad as the host of New Scandinavian Cooking. For eight seasons, the Norwegian Viestad has shared his knowledge of Nordic cuisine, culture and history with PBS audiences across the country. Now, WGBY viewers can experience his talents in person.

Viestad will be on hand during the Friday, March 10 tasting, signing copies of his book. It will be at the Saturday, March 11 WGBY Wine Lovers Dinner, however, that his culinary prowess will really take center stage, as he has specially designed a menu for WGBY dinner-goers.
