This winter, WGBY in partnership with local sponsorship will celebrate the importance of literacy and creativity in a child’s pathway to learning. The 15th Annual Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest will provide students, school teachers, and home schooled youth the chance to experience learning in literacy, language, and artistic expression through hands-on creation. By joining forces in our shared educational community, WGBY will host this contest in the hopes of inspiring young children to jump-start their imaginations and to put their creative thoughts to pen, pencil, crayon and paper.
Three winners from each grade level will be selected as winners; will receive a WGBY Reading Rainbow Prize Package. The top winner in each grade will have their story submitted to the national contest, with a chance at fabulous prizes!
