Susan Kaplan, host of Watercooler About the Host

Susan Kaplan's career in broadcasting spans two decades. She began in commercial radio honing the fine art of radio sales and eventually moved on air to host her own talk show on WHYN AM in Springfield, Massachusetts. She then moved to public broadcasting as a reporter for the NPR affiliate in Western Massachusetts where her work earned numerous AP awards. Her stories cover education, politics, sports and emerging technologies. Her national stories have been heard on NPR magazine shows like Morning Edition, All Things Considered and On The Media. She lives in Western, Massachusetts with her husband and two sons whom she calls..exquisite A and exquisite B.

In Susan's own words: "Two of my greatest passions are conversation and learning.  Hosting Watercooler gives me the rare opportunity to combine both. It is an honor to speak with people from Western New England about the complex, challenging and vital themes that play such a huge role in our lives. And to bring that conversation to you is icing on the cake. My hope this year is that you will join us, often, with your thoughts about what we speak about and your ideas about what you'd like us to talk about on Watercooler. "
