For four decades, Edward William Shore was "Mr. Hockey" and his Springfield
Indians ruled the ice at the Eastern States Coliseum.Shore led the team
with a revolutionary coaching style developed during his years as a
feared defenseman with the Boston Bruins. He brought excitement, controversy
and three consecutive Calder Cup winning seasons to western Massachusetts.
Relive those glory days as former Indians players and coaches - including
Jimmy Anderson, Brian Kilrea, Pat Egan and Jack Butterfield - remember
Eddie Shore, the team and the legendary building where they played their
extraordinary brand of hockey. Vintage films clips and, of course, the
Indians' rousing theme song, Shake, Rattle and Roll, highlight this
tribute to Eddie Shore.
