Chris “Monte” Belmonte is the Morning Show host at 93.9 The River/WRSI in Northampton, MA. His background in Communications and religion has brought him around the world, working with Mother Teresa in India and living in Jerusalem. But a life-long New Englander living in the Valley with his wife and two kids, he firmly believes in the words of musician Jonathan Richman “I’ve been around the world, but I love New England best. I might be prejudiced, but it’s true I love New England best.” Monte especially likes the Pioneer Valley part of New England for its unique mix of agrarian and artistic culture and considers it his mission to help keep it that way. Monte likes referring to himself in the third person and also wants you to believe that it wasn’t him who wrote this short bio.
