WGBY Ready to Lead in Literacy

Ready to Lead in Literacy

WGBY’s Ready to Lead in Literacy initiative provides a unique contribution to the nation's goal that all children start school "ready to learn." It is an unprecedented blending of services; the full lineup of PBS children's series -- the quality, educational, nonviolent, noncommercial programming that parents have trusted for two generations; program breaks delivering educational messages; and a variety of outreach services and materials for parents, teachers and other caregivers of children ages birth through 8.

OUTREACH

RTLL supports parents, teachers and caregivers in using PBS Programs to help children love learning. The service promotes partnerships between PBS stations and community organizations, such as child-care centers, schools, libraries, businesses, civic groups and governmental agencies, to enable adults to receive the training and materials that extend the programs' educational impact. Workshops are being offered through the regional for child care organizations and local libraries. Here are just a few of the great workshops or parent sessions we can provide!
