Flirting or Hurting:
Sexual Harassment in School is an instructional
program designed to educate middle school students and generate
discussions with them on Sexual Harassment. The program is based
on the teacher's guide by Nan Stein, EdD of the Center for Research
on Women at Wellsley College.
Cheating Yourself consists of two short modules, specifically designed for use
in 6th through 12th grade classrooms. The first module guides students
to an understanding that all forms of cheating undermine learning.
The second module, Cheating Yourself: Plagiarism, explains
in more detail what plagiarism is and how it can be avoided.
Gender Equity in
the Classroom, hosted by leading education
researcher David Sadker, Ed.D, examines the subtle but potent gender
biases in today's classrooms. The program is a powerful tool for
use in pre-service education classrooms or in professional development
workshops. Each scene focuses on a different area of disparity between
females and males. The accompanying Viewing Guide offers guidance
on how to use the program during professional development sessions.
A
Natural Focus, with Laurie Sanders, is
a series of videos produced by WGBY on the natural history of the
Connecticut River. A teacher resource
guide to supplement the video series is available on the Natural
Focus website.
