NORTHAMPTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS JOIN TOGETHER TO MAKE A GIANT EARTH DAY BALL!

Green Northampton and the Center for Ecological Technology are coordinating a project with local schools to build an Earth Day ball made entirely of single-use plastic bags. The goal is to make the largest plastic bag ball ever and roll it down to the center of Northampton for the WGBY Earth Day Eco-Fair and Family Fun Fest on April 23, 2011 in an effort to get Northampton to become a “bring your own bag shopping district” to encourage customers to bring their own re-useable shopping bags.
