WGBY -TV PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP
WGBY’s local program Connecting Point seeks motivated, individuals to participate in a 3½ month internship. Interns will spend a majority of their time assisting with the production of this daily current affairs program. Internship is open to students and individuals thinking about a career in broadcast television.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to, the operation of studio cameras, electronic graphics, floor directing, lighting and set construction as well as assisting with electronic field productions. Interns must have good availability during most week day afternoons have reliable transportation and be able to commit to 15–20 hours per week.
The intern position is non-paid. This internship is structured to allow the motivated and committed individual to get the most that this program has to offer: a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential. A background in television is helpful but not necessary.
