Summary:
The PBS TeacherLine Program Coordinator, a 12 month (September 1, 2008-August 31, 2009) grant-funded position, will work within the Education & Outreach Department to expand WGBY’s educational professional development presence across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont. This position will oversee the day to day program management of PBS TeacherLine, both internally at the station and externally in collaboration with schools and/or districts. Must have ability and willingness to travel in MA, CT, and VT and work a flexible schedule. This position is also responsible for communicating and behaving in a way that supports diversity and equality among coworkers and colleagues.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify strategic partners at the state government level, meeting with representatives of MA, CT, and VT Departments of Education.
- Increase enrollment into PBS TeacherLine courses through marketing and promotion of WGBY’s TeacherLine program to individual teachers, school administrators, and district personnel.
- Work in collaboration with graduate credit provider Merrimack College in the facilitation and scheduling of local courses.
- Meet with district personnel to build awareness and promote partnership on PBS TeacherLine initiatives.
- Follow strategic marketing plan to communicate with sales leads.
- Schedule presentations with school districts and administrators to showcase PBS TeacherLine for professional development.
- Track funding opportunities to work with local school districts.
- Attend regional education conferences for the promotion of PBS TeacherLine.
- Provide timely reports to PBS TeacherLine detailing grant requirements and deliverables.
- Communicates and behaves in a way that is free from discrimination, intolerance or harassment when interacting with co-workers, colleagues and clients.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education & Outreach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education and/or Sales and Marketing; Master’s Degree preferred
- Five years of experience with the Education market preferred.
- Existing network of relationships with regional school districts required

- Ability and willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule a must
